Cupids Ring By Basic Grey

Hi there I have another quilt complete and here it is. I worked on this quilt mostly while I was traveling so here it is on the hotel bed (never mind all the thread on the floor). This is Cupids Ring by Basic Grey this was a fun girly quilt to make and I really enjoyed making the sample for the shop. This quilt has raw edge circles so custom quilting was the way to go. I chose to do a meander in the body of the quilt and a single paisley in the edge. I used Mono Poly by Superior threads to quilt  down the raw edge pieces. This was a great project for traveling I trimmed out the circles on a road trip and the second road trip I sewed on the binding. Here's a close up of the quilting.

Are you swooning for Swoon?

Hello all I finally made a Swoon quilt! It was a really fun project and I have had a great time looking at all the wonderful Swoon quilts that are out there. In fact I love this quilt pattern so much I have a Pinterest board devoted to it. I decided that I would take a scrappy approach to this quilt for two reasons one reason is that there are some really pretty scrappy Swoon quilts out there and the other reason is I have a TON of scraps. I did make this a king size quilt by adding an additional ten inch border to all sides. I am planning on using this quilt on my bed so I quilted this quilt with a pantograph it is Circus By Anne Bright. I love seeing all the wonderful Swoons out there so keep on sharing!
